Reuniting With Home Town Friends

in life •  7 years ago

Last Easter Sunday April 1 my childhood friend invited me to come over because its his birthday. Back in our province he was also our neighbor and we haven't seen each other for 3 years already. Recently he was chatting and asked for us to meet, but we both got busy so we keep on postponing our plan. But luckily last Sunday, his birthday, both of us are not busy so I decided to go to where he lives and celebrate birthday with him. He actually work and stay's in Mayapa laguna,he is working at Nature Spring Corporation. My bestfriend works there too so its like hitting two birds with one stone. I will be able to attend his birthday and also see my bestfriend.

That's us and the man in white shirt is the birthday celebrant

It was my first time traveling alone to Laguna and I'm not familiar with the place so he decided to pick me up at the jeepney terminal. I can see that he was happy to see me and I felt happy too. Back in our town we used to drink together with friends and our family because there house is just next to us. I got shocked when I arrived because almost of his visitors are from our town too. So that means I can speak our native language and speak in tagalog the whole day.

He said its an exclusive party ( hahaha ) exclusive for us from Mindanao. Well the feeling of seeing the faces of people that you haven't seen for a decade is priceless. I was so happy seeing them and while listening to their stories while we were younger I laughed so hard thinking that after making those mistakes you will still have a chance to laugh at it after so many years. They were talking about how strict was father was before, about how they would climb our mango and steal from us and how my father caught them and get a punishment from doing that. I listen to all of their stories, reminiscing their memories and laughing at their jokes. It's always nice to meet your old friends.

The food was amazing and I ate to my hearts extent,I literally forgot my diet that day hahaha. As always,my favorite is the bulalo. It was such an amazing day,a happy Easter Sunday and a happy birthday too. I never regretted traveling that far because it was all worth it. Sharing good memories with old friends while drinking and eating. We may not be constantly contacting each other but at least we're still friends no matter what.

Time is so fast if your enjoying and as the day ends its time for us to go home. We bid each other good bye and thanked God for the wonderful day and pray that everyone will go home safe. Good bye old friend and till we see each other again.
