Memon in Bangladesh

There are number of Memon people residing in Bangladesh, many of them came Bangladesh from Gujrat,India for business purpose 70/80 years ago.

There are lot more opportunities like discounts for Memon who holds Memon ID card, in specific hospitals and shopping stores. Moreover they arrange get to gather parties of Memon people at Eid-Ul-Fitr, and at different important days of Muslim people like robiul awwal, Razzab, Miladunnabi etc. The fund is collected from wealthy Memon peoples.

There are number of Petrol Pumps, Garments Industries, Computer shops built by Memon people. There is also transport agencies, export import business offices at Khatungong, Chittagong. Number of Memons in Chittagong does there own business.

Moreover Memon Jamat also solves family related problems and thus performs the law related work. Marriages of Memon people usually helds among memon peoples, very rare case they choose different community life partner. Memos are Sunni Muslims, following Hanafi Islamic Mazhab. They are usually conservative religious minded.
