The French chef died Saturday at 91 years old. On Twitter, the President of the Republic relayed a statement from the Elysee Palace in which he salutes the memory of a man who was "the epitome of French cuisine". "His name alone summed up French gastronomy in its generosity, its respect for tradition but also its inventiveness," greeted Emmanuel Macron. "The chiefs are crying in the kitchen, at the Élysée and everywhere in France.
