The number of exchanges that STEEM and SBD are available on are severely deficient. This is hindering Steemit community and forcing the price of STEEM to remain low. I evaluated the price of STEEM at over $100 because a majority of the currency is locked up in Steem Power. When comparing the liquid currency and price to other currencies in the top 50, Steem should have a market price of over $100. Why is STEEM so low? It is just not made readily available because it is on very few major exchanges. Help me change that!
Below is a list of exchanges that are making other top 50 coins valuable. STEEM and SBD need to be on as many of these exchanges as possible. If anyone has any connections to these exchanges, please do what you can to get STEEM and SBD listed.

There is more that can be done. We can do much better than that if STEEM and SBD were made available everywhere.

Lets put the lack of exchanges concept in perspective. Perhaps you want to buy a new car. You have plenty of Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Dodge, Mazda, Volkswagen, Subaru, and Honda dealerships where you live. They speak the same language that you use. However in order to buy a Hyundai, you have to go to another country to buy it and they don't speak your language. There is a high probability that you would not buy a Hyundai.
This is the dilemma with STEEM and SBD. As a currency, if it is not made available everywhere, then people would likely use something else. In comparison to other currencies ranked in the top 50, STEEM and SBD are severely lacking access. When people don't buy it or use it, the currency has little value and thus the price will remain low.
Other currencies have dedicated teams aggressively convincing exchanges to list their coin. STEEM seems to leave that task up to US.
Here is how you can make a difference for Steemit future.

This is by far the easiest step:
Convince a Witness to get STEEM or SBD listed on a major exchange. Just promise to use your witness vote for the witness that gets the job done. Combine your vote with others and we can influence a witness to make it happen. Your witness votes do not take away from your voting power or earnings and is simple to do. You have 30 of these votes and they don't get used up. If you decide to change your mind you can unvote a witness or switch the vote to another witness.

Hi @socky, i'm only a little guy but I have free witness votes and think that more exchange listings can only help STEEM. Do you have any suggestions as to which witnesses are actively trying to achieve this as I would be happy to vote for an effort at least?

So far I have had a witness state that he will put in a ticket with Poloniex to fix the 6 month old broken wallet. The only thing is anyone can do that. Once the voting power gets large enough, then the witnesses will find real ways to get STEEM or SBD listed which may require petitioning Steemit Inc to get off of thier XXX and get to work.
I also have other projects in mind like getting Steemit Inc to have an official web page that is updated by Steemit Inc or providing transparency to what they are doing. Not just code that anyone can find on github, but how they are managing the 15% of their take of new currency creation or why Poloniex and HitBTC have frozen the STEEM/SBD wallets for 6 months. We need answers and we need real fixes implemented. Our votes will make that happen.
The STEEM or SBD listing will be a test of our voting power as a group. Bigger and better things will come. The "Field of Dreams" attitude that they only need to "Build it and They will Come" will get fixed.

Thanks for this info, I've only been here 6 weeks, but can already see that there is so much potential here. It feels like Steemit Inc have set this system up, and are leaving it up to the users to continue developing it. I'm impressed by what this could become, but without the "big guys" leading it somewhere, it could also become nothing. Thanks for your response and have a great day.

Would you be interested in option #4 above? It is real simple and you have plenty of witness votes left. This only requires 1 witness vote and only when the witness gets the job done.
