I have applied on the website to be invited to Appics ages ago, sadly have not heard back yet. I am android user, photographer with quality content and would like to give it a go since i do not like instagram and creating free quality content for centralized entity. Please advise and cheers! I don’t really see what the scam is. I haven’t bought anything from them, so I am not being scammed. People like you are the the scum of this blockchain. Appics is making a legit effort in marketing and on boarding new users, and people like you are only making sure the new users see how much of a kindergarten this place is. Shame on you. I've seen first hand how these robots operate many times through articles men have posted on them. If you'd looked you'd seen it. It very obvious. Look at her elbows, the fact she never moves her eyes and the jerking movement are reminiscence of a robot. Plus just completely ignore the fact of the low quality of content produced for reward(s) that in the end if left to accumulate hundreds onto the platform while simultaneously flagging others for such activity is just plain wrong. In the end it will take thousands out of the rewards pool from others who work much harder.

I know that it wasn't all Your fault. But also I feel that we all have been REALLY patient already. Specially since the last update when You guys said that probably 3 weeks to 1 month for the "new launch/update/release of the dual platform/distribution of the tokens" lol

All of these girls are posting their own content and we do not run their accounts. APPICS is currently onboarding new users which means we are inviting them to the app - and that´s it. They set up their accounts on their own, they choose the content they would like to post and it´s also up to them if they respond to comments or not.

I was welcomed in a much better way when I first joined steemit.
But unfortunately, most of these girls were greeted with skepticism or people attacking them - just because they’re female and post pretty pictures, which is totally up to them.

I think Steem should be open to all kinds of content. Instagram is not my sort of thing, but if Steem could take 1% of their market it could make a huge difference and we can keep posting geeky stuff. Of course the accounts should be verified and that's easy enough with photographic proof or a mention on their Instagram that may get more people interested in Steem.
I am not into objectifying women, but this is a part of youth culture these days. I'm not about to start posting selfies with me pouting at the camera. Nobody needs/wants to see that.

Well Instagram is so saturated with the same content and now organic reach on the app is going to zero people are going to look for alternatives. While I'm not a fan of this lowest form of content it does bring people in. Social media has traditionally been quantity over quality, we might flood the blockchain with people and hopefully some will stay

Well they're running on STEEM and EOS so far and you can trade your Appics on steem engine and another EOS exchange. They still need their own way of making money. If they can build their own insta hybrid for these users to monetize and bring in advertisers I say go for it.
We've already seen steempshot try and fail and deegram has been taking ages to launch.
I don't use Instagram myself I think its a shit tool but others disagree. I'd rather give appics the benefit of the doubt and if they succeed my steem price goes up if they fail oh well we move on

@soldier has engaged in comment spam in the past. It's on the blockchain, folks.
At this point, I have no reason to trust the authenticity of those accounts because I already have a reason to doubt their integrity. I attempted to request verification and was flagged by some random Nigerian Prince. (Because that's not subtle at all.)
At this point, think there is cause to be suspicious. Another possible concern, what if they pay influencers that are more or less apathetic about Steem to just use their persona for $$$?
That sort of would become apparent eventually if the more scrupulous Steemians put pressure.
