Self-Medicate As An Attempt To Escape

The Fear Of Introspection

Our brains haven’t been designed to cope with this deadening reality. Hence why we escape this so called reality to find one that perhaps will allow us to feel like home again. Or maybe to find home for the very first time. It doesn’t matter if home is to be found in the arms of the devil. In the flawed addicted mind of the human being, it’ll always be worth the cost.

Self-destructive thoughts lead to self-destructive behaviors, don’t they? When madness overfloods your mind, the external world will always find a way to validate the fuckedupness you feel internally. Like a mirror, life will reflect right back to you the discomfort you feel within.

But what have you got to lose when you have nothing to lose? When there’s nothing on the line but your broken wounded self helplessly going through the motions? Maybe we’ve created these concepts called Hope, Purpose, and Meaning, because without them, this world doesn’t intrinsically hold some sort of value.

If it wasn’t for hope, purpose and meaning, what we see as worth the while today wouldn’t be worth the ride after all.
When your mind runs empty of these little guys, your vessel heads straight into the path of destruction. Once you reach such a place, you’ll say yes to anything – absolutely anything – that can make you forget, for a moment or two, the demons inside you screaming for acknowledgment on your part.
