I had never sought out geocaches before. I recently had lunch with a friend who used to be big on seeking and making a geocache. He suddenly pulled up the app and realized there was one nearby. So immediately I was stoked. I said, "let's do this!" He narrowed down the location so we could at least know what to look for, and where it might have been placed. There was a tree in a clearing. "Yup, that should be it." lol Sure enough, it was still there. Hanging on a rusted nail, with a key ring and very small container. It was hard to believe that it was still there, let alone there could be anything inside. I unscrewed it and a rolled up small piece of paper, barely held together, contained a number of different names. Those of the past that had come along, and willfully participated in this small task. Yet, it felt momentous and special that a community like this existed, and it is such a fun concept.
Feeling grateful! ☺
