Even though the day may be filled with many activities, having some time for your morning routine makes you more organized throughout the day and sets you ready to handle the day to day challenges.
To cut the long story short, for you to have a successful day, you need to incorporate some success and health habits into your morning routine. So, which are these habits? Well, you dont need to ask yourself that, all you need is to get a cup of coffee, relax, and read on!
10 COOL MORNING ROUTINES
WAKE UP
If you want to make your dreams come true, the first thing you have to do is wake up. This is one of the famous J. M. Power quotes that simply mean that getting up from sleep is the first step in having your daily activities accomplished. Therefore, you first need to get yourself to the actual world, unless you want to follow the routine in your dreams! Here, ensure you wake up at your right time, having had enough sleep.
REVIEW YOUR GOALS
You have just woken up, but still seated on your bed. At this time, your brain is still fresh; yet to encounter the daily hustles and bustles; take a short time redefine your goals. Everyone has goals, whether small or big. Its time you remind yourself of your goals.
TAKE TIME TO MEDITATE
You're now awake, aware of your goals, and still seated on your bed. The next thing you need to do is meditation. The good thing about meditation is that it doesnt require stimulants. Therefore, if you are that kind of person who needs 3 or more cups of coffee in the morning to get you going, you may not need it here. Thats why you can perform it when still on your bed.
Meditation allows your quiet mind to focus on the work later in the day. Therefore, you stay more focused on your daily task even when you encounter the daily dramas, worries, and pressures.
GET INSPIRED
For you to accomplish a given task, you must have the inner drive. Where do you get it from? I know some are motivated by the results, but watching a short inspiration clip can also keep you motivated all day. For those who love reading, like me, you can consider reading inspirational quotes or stories.
MAKE YOUR BED
If you want to change the world, you need to start by making your bed. Well, those are not my words but U.Ss Navy Adm. William McCraven. Though this sounds like an ๏ฟฝobvious activity to most people, a few neglect this small task. Regardless of how small it may look, it is the first accomplishment you make every morning. It gives you small pride and motivates you to accomplish other tasks. After the end of the day, the small ๏ฟฝobvious task will have resulted in many accomplishments.
ITS TIME TO HYDRATE
Youve had enough of your bed; it's time to get a glass of lemon water. water is important in flushing the digestive system and for rehydration, we all know that. What of lemon? Well, lemon is used to boost the immune system and to ensure weight balance; no more being obese, no more being underweight as you pursue your goals!
EXERCISE
Most people already have this in their morning routine. Just in case you havent incorporated it, it is one of the best ways to keep your body more active and fit to encounter the activities of the day. Some choose to do the morning run, some settle for morning yoga while others find themselves busy in the gym struggling with the heavyweights. Go for whichever gives you a kick! Even a simple walk in the neighborhood can do!
FIND SOMETIME FOR YOUR PET
Ensure that you find some time to spend with your furry friend(s) before you become committed to your activities later in the day. You may decide to spend a few minutes taking a walk with him/her in the neighborhood. You may even decide to combine this with some exercise. In fact, dont do the morning run or walk alone, let your pet give you a company, its important for their health too!
SELF CARE TIME
You are almost done with your morning routine, already psychologically prepared. Its now time to boost your confidence in tackling the scheduled activities. At this point, you need to pay attention to your personal hygiene. Take a shower, brush your teeth, and dress smartly. In case you are a ๏ฟฝmakeup type of lady, this is the time!
FINALLY, IT'S COFFEE TIME
For the coffee aficionados, its time now to quench your thirst for coffee. Depending on your preference, get the best morning drink for you. While some prefer snacks in the morning, scientists recommend a heavy meal in order to provide you with enough energy to tackle the daily activities.
WRAPPING-IT-UP
A lot of people observe discipline in their morning routines. Not because they are always willing to, but because it is the only time when they can focus on what they want to accomplish later in the day. I am definitely more productive during the beginning of the day when the sky in clear and i hear the birds sing. In other words, morning routine is one of the secrets to success; if you follow it to the letter, success will always be your portion. Doubting my statement? My morning routine usually includes something like hitting the snooze button at least twice, getting up, going to the washroom, turning off my alarm and sleeping for another 10 minutes until i have to rush to get to work on time. haha
Jokes aside, I've found that a shower where I progressively turn the water from hot to warm to cold is a great way to start the day. It's painful when I do it, and I absolutely hate it, but when its over I feel like I've made a small accomplishment to start my day and that makes other goals much easier throughout the day

Many people fail to plan their day before stepping out of their room but the truth, those who plan their day are guided and lead by their plans. They will each day to achieve something of their dream or heart desire. Everyone must plan his/her day before stepping out of the room and it should start right from our bed.

I used to have a morning routine right from my school days to completion of my graduation. But right now I work in shifts so I need to prepare daily routine as per my shift in a particular week. It was really difficult at first but I have started getting used to it. It disturbs your sleep patterns though.. Anyways very useful post @suerisue!! Have a good day..

for me, i guess actually waking up is the biggest challenge for me, and when i finally wake up, i am always behind schedule and i have to hurry with everything. i really hope i change soonest.
