My Life Strategy? Make "Giving" Become Part Of Your DNA And Find Pleasure In The Success Of Others 💛

The heart that gives, gathers. - Tao Te Ching

These are wise words.

While many people believe that taking is was actually brings the value, I'm of a completely different opinion.

Here's my secret on how you may become the richest person on Earth 💰

The key to life is not accumulation, it's contribution

I was 6 years old when I was given the very first letter of reference in the primary school.

My mom told me later that she won't ever forget that moment when the class teacher handed the paper over to her. She said:

"It's weird. Once she's finished her task, she walks over to the other students in order to help them getting done theirs. Nobody told her to do so, but to her it's kind of self-evident. She finds pleasure in seeing the others succeeding.

I was always wondering if that behavior was a result of a completely fulfilled childhood.

Are kids who have an especially happy childhood able to develop a better "sense of community"? Are they even more social?

What I'm a 100% convinced about is the fact that giving is a result of gratitude.

Caring about others is definitely my way of saying: thank you, life!

I've always been a lucky person, no doubt about that. I can't remember one single day in my life I wasn't content about my general situation.

Yes, I made mistakes like we all do. But there was nothing I really completely regret. All our decisions are based on the information given at a specific point of time. It's a natural thing that we grow up, learn, get smarter and wiser.

Tallulah Bankhead, an American actress, said once:

If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes. Only sooner.

We were born to be real, not to be perfect.

So here is my reality: give.

Probably the secret lies in the word "random".

Most of the people don't expect you to be kind without asking for something in return.

That's actually the best part of it.

Surprise them! Look them into the eyes when you do it. And you get paid for a lifetime.

That's why I started the new project @steemaniacs.

@steemaniacs helps new users on steeemit to get a smooth boost in their beginnings.

The account was created yesterday, and today I started to analyze and comment the very first articles that were sent to me.

The feedback has been overwhelming so far. What a feeling!

In moments like these I remember that class teacher from primary school I mentioned above and who was surprised to see me caring about the others' success. The little Marly has become an adult now, but the spirit is still the same.

So open your hearts, steemians.

Think out of the box, think beyond your own nose.

Soon you will realize that:

No-one has ever become poor by giving - Anne Frank

Have a great day!

Big hugs,
Marly -

I will leave you with one of my favorite videos. It's only 2 min. long but probably one of the most beautiful clips that have ever been published on the internet:

Really beautfiul - the world would be so much better with more people like from the video.
I get so mad when I sit in a bus nowadays and when an elderly person enters nobody stands up for them. Most don't even realise since they are starring at their smartphones -.- This is so sad and definetly got worse the last years!
Resteemed your post - If even one more person does good things in the future it was worth it!
As a aspiring doctor I am very thankfull to people like you - keep it going! If you want to check out my channel too, I would be glad!

What a nice comment! Thank you so much for your kind words.
You are completely right. We've somehow forgotton what really counts in life. I think education fails in many senses. The only thing we can do is being a good example :-)

I'm happy you've found my blog and like that I found yours. You have some really nice photography in there. Just upvoted and resteemed your Brice Canyon post. Oustanding coloring!

Was für ein Arzt - also auf welchem Fachgebiet - wirst Du denn mal werden? :-)

Traditional school should be changed in so many ways I think! Ethics & life should be a subject every day!

Absolutely agreed. Public school systems don't support ethics and don't teach the core values kids need to learn early. We're facing a general loss of values which considerably complicates living together as a community.
To me steemit is one of these little "playgrounds" where we are able to transmit value and make the world a better place (not willing to sound pathetic, just positive).

Hopefully - I also put big hopes in this platform. I hope it does not get overthrown with too much spam and people just looking for quick money :/

Yeah well the money is the incentive. Most people wouldn't have come over without the monetary benefit. Of course there will be some quality differences, but we can chose what we read and what we want to vote for - and what we are going to ignore 😉

Spannender Lebenslauf also, Respekt ;)

That's true - Hopefully everything will work out!

I like the fact that you add random quotes that fit perfectly and complement great your idea. I like especially the Agatha Christie one.

The way you think and how you grew up completely shines in all of your posts but especially this one, I am so happy to read this and learning what drives you to be the person you are now.

As I told you before the @steemaniacs project is plain amazing! I am so excited to see everything you will achieve and all those people you are going to help grow, and with them, grow yourself. You can tell by reading it, this post is from the heart, congratulations on portraying it perfectly.

Mil gracias Eric 😍

I love underlining my own thoughts by the beliefs of others. Sometimes one single quote is able to say it all at once, especially when they are as powerful as the one from Agatha Christie.

It's a big world we're living in. But sometimes you accidentally run into somebody that completely shares your way of thinking. These are moments I especially appreciate in life.

Thanks for being there always 😊

I would agree totally with your “Giving Life Strategy” @surfermarly, but only to the point where you start giving to the casinos. I really doubt that would fit into this, very nice post of yours :)

Haha, I've given soooo much to the casinos in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago, that should be enough for a lifetime 😆
Thanks for stopping by @lighteye!

Wo kommst Du eigentlich genau her?

Ach geh, optisch bist du noch Mitte 20, zumindest was mich digitale Aufnahmen bisher vermuten lassen!

7259ce761f84701317c252d5bf51fa72.jpg

I've made a post about this before and I wrote something along the lines we are naturally narcissistic and inconsiderate. It is just human nature but we have the power of free will and choice. Us as humans need to be more self-sacrificing than taking everything that only benefits us.
I'm glad that you have this mindset @surfermarly as this is something we need to adopt to be a more equal fairer society.
I wasn't expecting the facebook video to be so big but it was pretty inspirational haha! :)
Love and happiness are something that is contagious. It keeps spreading

These are wise words. Thank you!
I would have loved to embed a YouTube video here instead, but I only found it on Facebook. So this will be one of the few moments I share FB content here, haha

Yeah, let's spread the positivity! I'm in 😃
PS: Sorry for the late reply. I'm somehow trying to get managed all these comments here. I think I will need to skip one day of posting just in order to get updated on all the communication.

Great positive post and you know I loved that video at the end. I hadn't seen it before

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I'm happy you enjoyed it.
My brother posted the link to this video a couple of years ago on Facebook. I bookmarked it right away considering it one of the best videos I've ever seen in my life. Today I thought it would perfectly fit with the message of my article :-)

Great first time I have seen a post from you in my feed. Been seeing a lot of toxic stuff from steemit. Very refreshing thanks.

Thanks for your kind words! I'm always trying to spread the good vibes here. The real world is dark enough sometimes 😉

This is such an inspiring post,
I do remember a quote I first heard when I was young by Winston Churchill "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

And that has always resounded in my and I do try to work to help others wherever possible and I do honestly believe the end result of this makes one feel a far better person and happy with themselves

Thanks again for the advise and such an inspiring post

Yes! I've seen this one when I did a little research preparing my article. Nice that you copied it here!
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed my little help via @steemaniacs 😉
Steem on!

It was more than a little help and gave me some great guidance and ideas for moving forward
Thanks again

It is one of the best articles I have read after a long time here on steemit. These articles are the only reason my love grows much stronger with the steemit. By giving we only expand, not contracts. Like a well , if it stops giving water to others, it will be in full chaos. The water will be dirty after some time and it will be of no use for anybody. You have very strong points here.

Thank you for starting @steemaniacs what a great project. I will definitely follow.

Thank you! I'm happy to hear that 😃
Sorry for the late reply, I'm a bit behind with the comments... here are soooo many 😲😲😲

You are a fantastic contribution to the steemit community.

Thank you!!! That was too lovely 😍😍😍

This post has received a 13.85 % upvote from @lovejuice thanks to: @abh12345. They have officially sprayed their dank amps all over your post rewards. GOOD TIMES! Vote for Aggroed!

Oh! Thank you @abh12345 - too kind 😍

Thank you so much for your post! You are so full of love.

You have a great life strategy. I can see that you operate out of an abundance mindset, rather than a scarcity mindset. Great way to live life!

I am excited to learn more about @steemaniacs. Keep up the good work!

The best piece of wisdom I've heard today.

Hey there, Marly... Wow, I am SO glad you came back to Steemit. When you said you were leaving I left you a message saying that it's good that you followed your heart and now? It looks like your heart has led you back...
How cool is that? :)
I really enjoyed the emotions that sprang forth from my heart as I watched the vid about helping others. So much so, that I watched it several times, to keep that good feeling flowing. I like the way the "good feeling tears" feel on my cheeks...
Anyhoo... I always look forward to looking at your posts... :D
You're a pretty awesome human... ;)

The more I give the more I feel happy, thank you for this.
I like you energy flow and i will support @steemaniacs because i feel part of this vision

If you have a bit more than you need,
don't build a higher fence,
buy a bigger table :)
Thank you

Good stuff..🙏🏼

Thank you for the great post, exactly how I have always been from small. And you know what, it brings the best out in people! Changing the world starts with each one of us, all it needs is a little flame.
I will quote something from John Wesley:
Do all the good you can.
By all the means you can.
In all the ways you can.
In all the places you can.
At all the times you can.
To all the people you can.
As long as ever you can.

I loved your philosophy of life, I love your way of expressing yourself, I loved how you presented this information and I find the video much more, to see how each act of solitude so impacted the viewer that without almost thinking it internalized the message and To part of your actions and live in the social context where you are, but I would like you to be my mentor and so I can get to know you more, my most sincere words of admiration and respect for you @surfermarly, towards your philosophy of life and toward The extraordinary work you're doing at steemit. Thank you once again for existing and to understand who you are.

#Respect,Mercy and help,It is very important things in Human Life.

Today's world is certainly not a paradise. Hunger, violence, poverty, pollution and other dangers are all too common. We know that the world has never been and probably will never be perfect, but it is not an excuse not to try to make it better. Help create a better world for the future, it's not as difficult as you might think.
