Two Books You Should Buy If You Are Sick of Wasting Time

Everytime I travel I buy books. I love to learn new things and I also like to decorate my place with books. Here’s two awesome books I bought this week in Cape Town.

90 Rules for Entrepreneurs and Getting the Right Work Done by HBR plus two note books. I’m obsessed with notebooks.

As I’m here on a workcation, yes I just used that obnoxious word, I wanted some book that could help me become more productive. To be honest I haven’t finished either of the books, but they are very promising.

It’s not the kind of books where you have to read it from the beginning. You can look through hem and just read about the topics that catches your eyes,

I think I like the 90 Rules for Entrepreneurs the most. It’s really, really cool. One thing it says, which really hit home is this:

“Be careful who you get in the pool with...”

I find it really hard to judge people’s character in the business world. There’s a lot of insenserity and BS.

Luckily, there’s also a lot of awesome people around too. And I need to concentrate on them!

The book is packed with great advice. Sensible and healthy advice on business. Some is about finance, some about how a healthy body will make sure your business is healthy too, some about mindset and some about success.

If you want to start a business or if you already did I would recommend this book. I learned a lot that I will use in my business.

And look at the awesome sign they put up in the book store:

That cracks me up. I hope you understand the sense of humor.

Feel free to recommend a book you think I should read!

Susanne

Same here. I am pretty sure they are available as eBooks as well. Nice one, I will check it out.

You are welcome @susanne and thanks for the gift, you know what I mean

Really Nice review!

Thanks @susanne I'll check them up on amazon, I'll recommend you read "great by choice" can remember the author right now

wonderful blog, beautiful norway, thanks for sharing

Yay! This is just perfect. I love to read when traveling and I'm just about opening my Engineering firm.
I do hope I can buy the book online though, cause it may be hard to get it here in hardcopy.
Once I've gotten it though, I'll post spoilers on my blog 😉

" A colorful life " Looks interesting! I love books and find them always special. Even many people think that we can find everything on the internet, but it is not true. What we find in books, is nowhere else.
I have the habit of reading the books from the beginning till the end even if it is boring. I know it is funny, but I am afraid to miss something lol
Thank you for sharing :)

@susanne Thanks for the recommandations. I remember a saying which I personally can totally relate too and which fits with the rule you mentioned. "Be careful with whom you spend your time. The 5 persons you spent the most time with you'll become" It's about sorting out the persons/energies you don't like and you don't want to become yourself. Thats why its saying be careful.

No problem at all @vitaundich. Oh yes, that is so important to remember. And I think our friends reflect us. Sometimes it can be hard to get toxic people out of your life though.. Unfortunately.
Thanks for reading!

this is a very good book,
because that science is all in the book as well.
as long as we want to read it @susanne.

great...

Yes I think all the books you mentioned are great. Most people today think reading books is a waste of time. My thoughts are I cannot afford not to read. Reading has fostered so many amazing ideas and observations for me. Great post

Hey Susanne, I also read 90 Rules for Entrepreneurs... if you liked that one I recommend "Purple Cow" or "All Marketers Are Liars" by Seth Godin. They're cool as well.

I don't know about the sign man, if it was here the guy would be fired on the spot, even though I find it hilarious :D

I'v been seeing a lot of funny signs in shops lately. Just being in Melbourne lately has been a joy.

2 comic book stores and one to go.. last day is tomorrow so I have to get there. Lots of places closed today due to Australia day 😣

A lot of poets, writers, and famous people say a word.
