Jesus Voted For You!
John 15:16 KJV “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.”
Let’s reinforce the message that prosperity has to do with God’s big idea, and abundant living. God’s idea of symbol of wealth is different from the world or what the church has been exercising for the last 1800 years. The organizations have more confusion about prosperity than the church. If we consider history, the church has embraced poverty as a blessing, and the early philosophers of the church, which was expressed and promoted by the catholic doctrine that poverty was piety (devotion, faith or religion). If you were poor, then you were Holy. Not so! Since they’ve preached this for years, Jesus was identified with poverty. This erroneous teaching continues and we are still reaping, the concept (idea) today. When a pastor drives around in a Rolls Royce, they begin to question, what are you doing? We thought, you were Holy. This is due to the message that was presented to the world.
In this world, all nations look to their governments, to provide for their needs. All the governments promise the people’s needs, so they can be elected. We ask, what do they promise us? To feed us, and we will have jobs, so we can have money to buy food or clothing. They promise us shelter or housing, clean water, security and protection. The government promises those things because that’s what the people want. We are all motivated with these basic needs.
Today, due to our economy, people are losing their earning power, retirement accounts are dwindling, and their pensions are disappearing. People are feeling the uncertainty and fear creeping up this year or the years to come. If we don’t connect and seek His kingdom and His righteousness, then it seems like the spirit of fear and stress are about to rise. However, in Matthew 6:25, Jesus came to change the politics in this world because the governments manipulate based on what we need; food, drinks, and clothing. They use the needs to influence us, but Jesus said, “let’s forget about those needs.” God said, “Don’t worry!” God will provide for us. Have faith in God. Our faith is only as strong as the test we survived. All challenges and tests will expose our faith. How strong is your faith?
As a believer, we seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, so God can add to our needs. That’s the priority of humanity. Our government is unique because we are not to worry or occupy ourselves with what we need. We look at the birds and the lilies of the field, to remind us that they don’t toil or look for it, they are completely provided. We fix our eyes on Jesus, our king. We worship Him because we are aware of who He is, our Lord (the legal owner of the earth and our souls) and He is the truth, who set us free from the world. Thank God, we don’t need to elect a government official in the kingdom of God because Jesus is our king. He has elected us. According to 2 Peter 1:10, it says, “Make your calling (by His own glory (wealth) and goodness (through His divine power)) and election (to participate in the divine nature or godlike) sure.” Know that God chose you, not the other way around. God first loves us, then we love Him. In other words, Jesus voted for you!
God wants us to be aware that it doesn’t matter, if the economy collapsed and the country shuts down, God will take care of us! We need to understand and get a revelation on this, so we will not get stressed or worried. When we worry, we start saying things. Don’t even say those things we need, according to Matthew 6:31.
Seek means to study, to pursue, to have the desire to know, to understand, to explore, to get to know, to exert energy to find, go and pursue the kingdom. The kingdom life just doesn’t come to us, like our clothes, we have to put it on, on purpose and we must pursue it. God has reduced man’s pursuit to do two things in life; His kingdom (new government) and righteousness (to position yourself under the governing authority). The most important thing we need to know is the kingdom and His righteousness. How does it function? What are the principles, keys or the laws of the kingdom? How does the kingdom work? What is the plan and the vision of the kingdom?
Therefore, if we stay under the kingdom, then everything we need will be added to us. This is a stress free life or culture. In Matthew 6:34, God is saying, He has everything under His control. Rejoice and get ready for a better tomorrow. It’s better than when the wise and intelligent people (congress and senators) in the government comes together with a plan, and says, “I hope it works,” every time we have a crisis. In other words, the world worries about tomorrow. So, don’t stress yourself! Worry has never paid the bill, never solved a problem, it’s a useless activity, and it changes nothing. It never alleviates (eases) pressure, but it creates pressure. Each day has enough trouble of its own. In the original Hebrew, it says, “I will give you everything you need for each day. Whatever troubles you today, I will solve it today!” In the kingdom of God, we don’t store up. Like the manna (bread from heaven), if the children of Israel collected more than a day, it becomes rotten. God provides daily. That’s why we don’t worry about tomorrow. Worry is only possible, if we are focusing on the things that hasn’t arrived yet. The Lord, doesn’t say, “This is the week, the Lord has made.” He says, “This is the day, the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” He doesn’t want us to live, week by week, but day by day. Amen! God measures our life by the size of our day. On Monday, we might need $5,000, and on Tuesday, we might need $2,000. It changes every day. God does not want us to worry about the size of our day. He will supply, according to the word of God. This is the Kingdom Culture! God bless you!
