I think the real problem is the lack of trust between people and furthermore among nations. I live in a country where army is mandatory, and a lot of people's argument for that is that we can't trust our neighbors.

Personally I would prefer a better educational system, less corruption and true democracy over more and more guns. I believe it's in our hands to make the beginning and change that. Be kind, trust each other and demand what you and the rest of the society deserve.
