Thats right, from raw land to moved in about 97 days to complete

Hitting it hard, throwing foundations deep into the ground. Stability is key. I don't want to tell you to much about the process. I do want to show you how awesome it looks!

Lets keep it simple, Im feeling stupid.

A nice sunny day, this is before I had planted everything, pineapples mangos, bananas and over 150 other fruit trees went in the ground the first day!

It was brown, now its green. Happy about that.

Music is life

Having our jam nights and a studio set up on our downstairs keeps us busy. This is where I regularly post out Steemit articles from. It looks a little different now. But fung shu wey always changes!

Upstairs is the bedroom, totally open and fitted with a spring fed jacuzzi!

Yeah, thats right. We get all of our water from a fresh water spring and it flows into our taps and fills our jacuzzi! ENjoying the misty evenings and the rain pitter patters on the roof. Life.

Another 360 plus five.

Both the upstairs and kitchen took me almsot a year later. A special someone showed up in my life and motivated me to finish some of the more feminine touches on the house. Its still not totally finished. WE will be putting grass down and hitting all the final touches when we get back home to Costa Rica. Our plan is to rent it our during high season and get on the road and keep travelling.

Arcane Conclusions

Of course, I had the idea in my mind for years. A practical approach, hard work and relentless motivation brought us what we wanted to achieve. The home is built, fresh water well, green house, guest cabin, runes entirely off solar. This was our dream, and we beleive many people have the same one. So I thought sharing it might be helpful, perhaps evening inspiring.

Thanks for following along The Arcane Bear Journey!

Oh my gosh it is beautiful. Is it an earthen home? Which country is it that you live? Thank you for sharing

How empowering to build your own house. That's a skill every human should have. There'd be far less mortgages and more liberated people. Mortgage actually translates to "death pledge." How crazy is that?!

I agree, I am so close to being mortgage free, but then again I am relatively old. LOL

Age ain't nothin but a number! Congrats on almost being there!

it's been a long battle, especially doing it on my own since my husband passed and left me with 3 kids under 13, but hey your right age is just a number. Thanks for the kind words

Wow, it sounds like you've been through so much. You are an inspiring human! Be well, glad to be connected on here.

Thank you, Foodisfree, what a great name. I am a homesteader, so I advocate for the concept of freefood. what is the driving force of your name?

Awesome to meet fellow homesteaders on here! I started a project called Food is Free Project. After planting a front yard garden and realizing how much I interacted with neighbors, I had a vision wondering what it'd be like if a whole block had front yard gardens.

I felt the call and got together with neighbors and friends and we built raised bed gardens out of salvaged wooden pallets and within 3 months, 19 of the 30 houses on our block had a front yard garden.

The idea was that we could swap harvests with each other to build community. After blogging about it, the project went open source and I encouraged others to take our ideas and make them better.

Now over 350 cities around the world have started Food is Free Projects and are growing and sharing food with #foodisfree to spread the inspiration. :)

yeah you gotta hit it hard, and smart. I just turned 30, now its on to working on other aspects of life! One step at a time, keep your priorties set and dedicate like a master and anything is possible

Amazing words of encouragement, just what I needed to hear. I am working so hard to attain my dream of buying land, but keeping a balance of having 3 kids, 2 of which are in University. I am doing this on my own. Thank you, gotta love STEEMIT just for people like you, thanks for the smile

thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to us knowing we are helping others find their inner strength for conquering some of these harder obstacles, one you know its possible, its that much easier to see how you can achieve it too! Thank you

Thank you so much, This is on the southern tip of Costa Rica, surrounded by animals and plants. green house just been replanted and fruit trees are starting to fruit again! Avacados, cocao ... to many to name! THank you for checking our post out! Im from Can originally, Ill follow you

Your an Ex Pat. Well hello my Canadian Friend. I am planning a trip to Costa Rica this Winter. I have friends who went last year. Also our high School in our community are going on a class trip there over march break this year. Thanks again for sharing

Well, i was never a patriot of canada, so i dont know how I could be an ex. I have hated governments since i was 13. Canada is one of them, i hate socialism. its especially bad there although the country is beautiful all governments are shit.! you will love the visit. hope you all have fun down here. Hit us up if you have any questions on CR

I will keep you in mind. Thanks for the offer of info.

No job on the renovations mate... Everything is stunning @thearcanebear!!! I think you could have pitched a tent and been fine because that view is beautiful :) Great property mate

haha thanks brother, you are probably right, when i bought the raw land, in my mind it was enough, it just happened to be that we had the flow in that moment to complete the entire project ass we went.

90 days is fast too!! Im in residential and commercial construction and that is good timing on that...Enjoy the new home.

Yeah we have less regulations here in cr. Making wait time to build minimal

Oh I bet! sometimes it takes weeks just to get some permits pulled and inspectors on site.

yeah here, a lil squeaky wheel gets greese and you are off to the races!

I wish that was the case lol! Stuff would get done a lot faster that is for sure.

Yeah, buying pride and rules in the western world is infinitely more worthless paper haha

Very cool house. I especially like the spring water jacuzzi. Upvoted and following.

You have a good content every time you post. Nice pic!

Great story, beautiful photos. Love the red earth and setting sun glow in the second one.
What an accomplishment building your house in such a shrt time.

If it werent for the "WE" thats always involved in me doing things, I couldnt have done it, theres no way an "I" accomplished this. Thank god for others making me and I a we! hehe xo

It looks great.

Thank you, it was our art peice. our art home. music love and vibrations. Throw down Ill kill for what I beleive in. Best beleive that. Im a fucking monster. yet I can be calm and peaceful. Ill upvote you with some love

What did all that cost!?

it cost money, everyday. haha lets say if you exclude the solar guest house and greenhouse

Why would they be excluded?

cause thant its triple x triple x! hehe wanted to keep it only xx,xxx, and they arent part of the core structure

Pretty sure xxx.xxx is a URL for somewhere.

But really, 90 days to build a efficient green house can't be done without madd money.

and I have all the original photos with time date stamps to prove it ')

yeah, maybe in the USA, but we are gangsters, throw down. Raw land to moved in was only 103 days... i removed the road building ect from the house build to make just the house the 90 day mark, i actually moved in a little early as my lease ran out at the home i was renting, I was still watering the walls the concrete was drying when i moved in upstairs!

Cool. Are you going to post the whole build series? That'd be neat to see.

Yeah I could, I still have all the pictures. When I first joined I posted a few, but without any followers, I never got any traction. I will re write and share the journey now that it might actually make it to some people who want to see it! Im gonna do a video walk through of the property when I get back home!

THIS IS INSANE!

Amazing to see the end stage of what must have been in your mind for ages...

hello, please follow the rules before posting in my group !

And which group is yours?

So inspiring! Stoked to follow you. My fiance and I just moved onto our land and are living in our travel trailer while we build our homestead. Excited to be connected with others on a similar journey!

Great! I am so stoked for you two, having a partner while working on stuff like this makes all the difference. Stoked for you two. Enjoy eachother , lift eachother up and support eachother. Love

Thanks so much for the awesome words. I'll take it to heart! Glad to be connected. So do you have some nice fruit trees?

yeah, the first day, we put in roads, plantels to build electricty and the water lines from the well, WE than planted over 150 fruit trees and countless medicinal herbs and plants. We even planted some that just look pretty ;)

Wow, how exciting. It sounds like you've planted quite the abundant future! Looking forward to hearing how it evolves.

Wow...this is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. :D

Thank you, glad our home is getting so much attention and love right now!

It deserves it! You did a fantastic job. Dream home. :)

This is basically my dream, building a house, the garden, even the jam space, lol. Congrats, it looks amazing!

We sometimes ave shared dreams and vision, just takes time for us all to meet up together and throw down. Love jamming! What you play. Aural pleasure for life baby!

I play keyboard and ukulele but mostly I jam by myself using software like reason and caustic. I'm hoping to have a little farm in the next five years, posts like this give me hope!

Thats about how long it took from deciding i was gonna make it happen to being here... check my music out online yehonatan gaucher

Cool will do, and I'll make a steemit post when I finally get my farm 🐐🐑🐔🐣🐰

I just loved your music room! Its awesome

hehe we love it too @khatisam thank you for your comment!

I don't need a house. Just a music room. That place looks amazing!

Wow. Speechless. Great job!

Thank you so much for your reply! Glad you like our pad! our home

It's beautiful, congratulations!

Thank you, we can mark it off our list now, it took us a while to figure out what the hell to do next! it was a big project and i had no plans for what to do after it was accomplished. Now thisis what we do, share information and our inspiritions . Love when we can and cry when we cant hold back!

Thats pretty impressive to get the main build up SO quickly.. I bet u wanted to put a cigar in your mouth and say "I love it when a plan comes together" when you were done!

I also managed to get my house built.. but it took me 4 years! ;-)

Great brother! checkin it out now. soooo busy

What a beautiful place! I am so happy for you all!

Dude! That's freaking amazing!

Thanks @drprepper it was such a joy, learned so much in the process, Now that its done, off to new ideas. Property, water, food in my portfolio. Check!~

I always check your posts. I saw the title and expected a shanty lol but that my friend... is a work of art. So jealous

Thank you, haha, thats fair, 90 days is fast, WE worked like gangsters and throw down. Im glad you had a surprise. Dont be jelous, chin up and hit that grind stone till it starts to form the way you want. Somethings you cant do that with, like women but with work, you can grind hard as fuck.

haha. I'm too old to move to paradise. We just bought my wife's dream home, 1857 brick colonial, and my dream land in the occupied territory of the USA. Great advise on the grinding out work, do it while you're young and you can continue while you're old. I just love the quality work you can be proud of for many years. Better to kick back and say yeah that looks good than to say whatever its done fast and so what if it looks like a pile of shit. Temporary POS is fine but perm needs to be beautiful to you.

yeah we got lucky and did both, quality and speed, which is usually hard to achieve, we are also the kind of people the punches wood trees and headbutts doors when we are fired up haha... weirdos really.... permantely beautiful. That concrete base will hold our the hardest of storms and wolves. Glad you got a home thought! the USA will be difficult but if your smart, there so many oppurtunities in crisis. Check out Doug Casey, the invetor of crisis investing

👍 Love it and I'll check him out.

i also like to think of it as adventure capitalism

nice, we also really like @jeffberwick he can be a little hasty and doomsdayish, but he is super smart and started picking up some much healthier ideas the last year!

Rad so glad I found your post.
My plans involve a departure as well. I love your setup. Unbelievable. Inspiring. Costa Rica is Epic also.
picture me following so I can stay on track with my exit plan.
man this post got me excited. thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job bud :D

Thanks brother, it was hard work, and now we are on to the next thing

Awesome
