A bit of a dull day today... Work was pretty uneventful and went by pretty quickly. After work we went to look at apartments.
Yes, another move. I just moved into this place a few months ago and wouldn’t mind staying, but the circumstances are a bit out of my control.
Basically, one roommate is moving out and the other remaining roommate we don’t really get along well with. Pretty exciting stuff, right?
So far there’s only one apartment that looks decent, but of course it’s the most expensive. It is a lot closer to my work, so that’s a perk!
The apartment we checked out today was cheap, and for a reason! There was some huge shifty looking metal box thing in one corner of the kitchen, busted up flooring in the other corner, and a bathroom that could only be described as “scary”.
Speaking of scary, I got my dmv registration in the mail, and it’s going to cost $200 to renew registration on my car 😥. On top of that though, they’re requiring a smog check this year. In fifteen years of owning a car, I’ve never had to get a smog check, so this is another annoyance to add to the apartment search, plus Christmas and New Years coming up, and my birthday next week...!
So now I’m just bundled up in my fleece sweats under three blankets in bed watching Seinfeld because I was freezing when I came home. I’m also craving Chinese food, but that’s pretty much a daily occurrence and we can’t always have whatever we want, right?
