Mentors are highly underpriced, given how bad our age-old education system is, Mentors are really the need of the hour.

surely, what marketers and life coaches have done is exploited this scenario and bam, Mentor is the buzz word as of now and will be until education system is either disrupted or everybody goes digital with their learning curve.

but how on earth am I supposed to learn then?

Answer - find a mentor that's it, you could do all things in all fields that dint existed a few years ago ...

the good news is, there are few smart people out there who have been in the same place as you have been, they are much more experienced and are willing to collaborate as well, at least that is what humans should do.

simply put, mentors add meaning to your life, they help you in staying ahead of the career game.

How to find mentors

There is no such thing as finding mentors through angel list , if you can count to yourself who are innovating and excelling in your field, then you can very much find mentors but on the other hand if you don't know who are the leading players or what your field is , then i must add that you are not ready for mentorship.

How we must take a chance ...

literally, the cost of emailing someone is zero, a simple dm or email can do you tonnes, the worst thing that could happen is that you could be judged as a person who wants to learn and grow, and to me, that sounds right by all means

Put yourself in their shoes, would you mind telling your story of success to someone, your hard work? In fact, we are hardwired to do that, eat sleep work brag repeat.

don't sell them your story first, engage with them, understand them and then put your thoughts, never ever act like they are obliged to answer you, be happy with whatever they are okay to share, ahh you get me.
