How Would You Secure Your Home

This was forwarded to me in my email today. How was I targeted for such an offer? I have no idea.
But I would never rely on this type of security for anything I would think has value.

First off, I am a firm believer in self-preservation. I am a staunch advocate and believer in the second amendment. And yes, as you can probably tell from my previous blogs here on Steem that I possess multiple firearms.
Training my family in their usage has also been a necessity as well.
Putting another layer in the level of security with a home security system is nothing more than adding a false sense of security.
Like calling the police AFTER a crime is committed. 911 is a joke.

As a residential security expert, I do not recommend third party monitored systems. They are, as you know, a scam. Worse, they open you up to potential disasters when police respond. Multiple examples from history prove that it is a very bad idea. People's loved ones and pets have been shot. You do not want a third party monitored system. There are plenty of ways to improve the security of your home though. Please check out my past blog entries for some good examples. I'll gladly help anyone looking to improve their home's security too as my time allows.

I hate these third party services.
