Are You Being Scammed?

One of the very first things I look for is, "The Scam." Is this "New and Revolutionary" way of making money going to:

Require large sums of money up front?
Will I have access to this money to withdraw whenever I want?
Do we clearly know what this business is doing? Aka, how THEY make money?
Do we have access to contact someone there in case we have issues?
Do they require you to "recruit" others as a primary condition to making money?

As you may have guessed, I'm talking about Ponzi's and MLM's(Multi Level Marketing). Why do we (as a society) continue to invest in extremely high risk investments where they give you NO CONTROL over your own money once you've given it to them? Here's a short list of some of the recent MLM's that have cashed out and walked away with Millions of dollars.
