I have grown up hearing my mom tell me, "this too shall pass." Whenever I was going through something difficult, whenever I wanted to know when things would feel better, she would say that to me. And she was always right!
And, while the Jewish proverb is most often used to encourage us that hard things end, I realize that it applies to good things, too.
I am a very positive person; I always try to find the bright side. I stay happy and energized as much as I possibly can. But even too much sun brings a drought. I know that even good things will pass.
At this point in my life I know that my babies will not be babies forever, so "this too shall pass" reminds me to cherish these moments. I want to absorb them so much that I can relive them in my memories!
This too shall pass if you are experiencing something difficult. And this too shall pass, so enjoy these precious moments!
It's a good thing that I believe in forever, otherwise I could get pretty depressed thinking about how everything ends!
