Jack of all Trades - Master of none

in life •  7 years ago

I've been finding a developing pattern in my life. One that spells out a broad base of interests that I carry. Ranging from acting, pyrotechnics, pow wow singing, dancing, arts, beading, scuba diving, and now crypto trading, blogging, and soon to be crypto mining as well. Along with a desire to start learning more about computer programming.

With that comes a necessity to manage my time in greater ways. This is something I've always had a strength with, but with my mind being pulled in so many directions. It's difficult to choose just one. I can see the benefit in all of these choices, but find myself lacking commitment to a single goal.

I'm managing to graze the surface on all of these things. All of which I am passionate about, but which direction to turn is always a question. I know there is growth in all areas, but I may find more benefit from some enhanced focus.

I've always been gifted with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Most of the time when I am working in multiple directions, each of the opportunities relate to one another. I occasionally have a chance to shoot fireworks at a pow wow that I'm visitting, or maybe one skill set I've developed is applicable in another field. My years of training in AutoCAD seem to be applicable for video game designing, fundamentally.

So, why would I change the way that I am? I often ask myself.

Why would I find the tendencies in my life that I find the most advancement?

Why would it be anything wrong with it, just because its not the way everyone else I see accomplishing their goals?

The real tricky part is always knowing where to set the bar in one direction, before going back to revisit another.

Do you ever have similar urges?

I wish you success in your ventures.
