How many times have you heard people say that they are thankful? When was the last time you heard someone like that? Probably not in this lifetime. I would guess that most grateful people are not alive today because they have adopted a negative attitude and become pessimistic.
When we adopt a negative attitude we immediately begin to think that our lives are unhappy. This negativity will affect everything that we do in our future. It is very difficult to get started on a new project when people are pessimistic. They are just not interested in doing anything at all.
On the other hand, when we adopt an attitude of gratitude we are able to attract more happiness into our lives. This is because gratitude makes us feel better. We become more appreciative of the good things in our lives. When we are grateful we are not worried about what people think of us.
In life there are many opportunities. Yet many people sit on them waiting for them to come by. When we adopt a grateful attitude we realize that life is more positive and we are more likely to take advantage of these opportunities. We don't let go of them though simply because we are worried that someone else might steal them from us.
If you want to change your attitude you can start by feeling gratitude and picturing it in your mind. Tell yourself over again how grateful you are. See yourself getting something out of each experience. Keep doing this until your subconsciousness is convinced that your attitude and thoughts are right.
The next time you are around people talk to yourself as if it is the most wonderful day that has ever happened. Be sure to emphasize how grateful you are for every positive thing that happens to you. You are living in a beautiful life, so enjoy it! Be sure to give thanks for the people in your life. They make your life meaningful.
