MO'TIVATE - Getting Around To IT

Procrastination is the Art of Putting off until later something that can, and probably should be, done now.

When it comes to posting on Steemit, "writer's block" is another name for procrastination.

One writer suggested that you sit down at the same time every day and write a short post.

His suggestion was that if nothing comes to mind then you start anyway. And if you can't think of what to write then you write, This post is about blah, blah, blah. And I have this to say about that, "blah, blah, blah". And so on and so on, you get the idea.

And for those of you who say I'll do that as soon as I get around to it -Well, here's a "Round Tuit" just for you (and me too).

20 Seconds Round Tuit.jpg

And the "20 Seconds" thing? It's from the movie, "We Bought A Zoo" . Here is a short clip about "sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage".

Enjoy the Round Tuit and the 20 Seconds hint and the blah, blah, blah tip for overcoming writers block and getting around to writing that bit for your daily Steemit post.

Ah but why do today what can so easily be put off until tomorrow? LOL

Time truly is an issue for many. Resizing photos, formatting things so it looks good, and so forth takes time. For me it takes uninterrupted time as it's hard to start and stop something like this. My last post took over an hour with everything, but I resized multiple photos the wrong size and had to try multiple times to get a good size for the post. Next time it will go faster as I learned a few things. was my best effort to date and the rewards are showing for sure.

The value of the upvotes received has made me want to get another quality post together. Once you see a post hit the Hot section it's a rush. Now I want to make more go Hot and with some luck get one on trending.

But most just don't because it's easier not to.

Thanks for you comments, @thedarkhorse, much appreciated both your comments and your upvote. I followed the link to your last post - awesome!!! Excellent work, a well balanced combination of a human interest story and on the spot photos.

more comments about your comments here and your upvote (thanks for both) in a reply I posted elsewhere in the reply section.

Upvote is earned. I have a pretty small follow list right now and actually try to read most of the posts from those people. Need to expand this list, but time has been so limited I'd rather build a few good mutually beneficial followers. With limited upvotes with value it gets hard to follow to many people.

I understand, it seems to take forever to build the value of your upvotes. I am working hard to get my upvotes up to the point of having some meaning value when I upvote others posts and comments. Making head way slowly, gone from 0.00$ to 0.001$ and now 0.002$

I'll try and check your new posts on a regular basis and I've add you to my steemdunk list too. you should see my two cents upvote show up each time you post an new article.

check it out here > https://steemit.com/steemdunk/@steemdunk/steem-dunk-step-by-step-guide-to-creating-your-steemdunk-account

Been testing steemdunk for a few days now. So far I like it, but one feature I wish they had was that it only upvoted 1 post per day per author. Maybe I'm missing it, not sure.

If not it's hard to put to many people in there or I would never have any power for upvoting comments. As it is I'm trying to get above 80% for tomorrow as I plan on posting and really like upvoting comments with some power.

Haven't decided if I'll keep using steemdunk or not. Need to look a little more into it and see if I'm missing anything.

Almost forgot, Thank You for adding me to your list! That is a list worth being on for sure. Will do the same for you while testing it.

Have you tried SteemFollower? You build up points for voting on other posts from people using steemfollower. Then when you post people upvote you and your points are used. You still review the posts and try to upvote good content only.

Think you could do well with it and it's free exposure.

Thanks, I will check it out for sure. The upside to steemdunk is it upvotes posts of people you want to upvote, even if you miss their newest posts. The downside to steemdunk is that, yes, it seems to upvote every post of everyone on you list and that can pull down the power of your votes.

I had someone make 5 posts in a day. Dropped the percentage on them to 20%. Figure this way they can post all they want.

Actually just dropped the percentage across the board for the next couple days. Need to power up...keep ending up in the 60% range by the end of the day. Really need to hit the point where I get a slider bar for each vote. Like being able to give out upvotes for all comments, just wouldn't even have any power left.

logged in to SteemFollower, I'll try it out tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to work it. I found some good youtube videos on steemfollower, that should help - thanks for the tip, I had not heard of them before

Anytime. I know for sure that my last post has gotten a bunch of votes from it and I've gained some new followers so hopefully it helps you out too!

Good post friends ,,, I love it. Do not forget to love back yes, and help upvote my blog as well

no, no that's not what 'friends' do, @fauzanhaikal.

thanks for the comment, I appreciate and upvote comments - done. BUT I see you upvoted your comment but not my post?!? - that's RUDE and not what friend do.

maybe come back and upvote my post like you did your comment - and THEN - ask me to send you love and upvote your blog :)

Want to see what friends do? check out '@thedarkhorse' - they upvoted my post :) and they posted a meaningful, related reply :) they also included a link to their last post, which is a very, very good post with a great mix of pictures and human interest content.

Did I Upvote their comment here - yes :) Did I resteem their last post - yes :) and will I post a comment on their last post - yes :)

what I'm trying to say is there is a right way and a wrong way to be a 'friend' on Steemit.

what do you think is the right way?

Yes I confess wrong ,, my comments may be wrong ,,, I am sorry, but I am happy to confront. Here I am commenting. Her meaning and purpose is so that I am more familiar with people who have long played in
steemit. because people who have long distememit, will likely give advice to me ,,,
And if I was wrong to comment, I'm sorry.

hi @fauzanhaikal, no your comments are not wrong and your comments are appreciated.

my comments were offered as feedback to your comments and as feedback to your actions.

your upvote of your comment and your lack of upvote to my post suggested that your use of 'friend' in your comment was not consistent with your actions.

bottomline - if you want to call me, or others on Steemit, 'friend' then yes, please do comment - and - do upvote me before you upvote you.

and you'll notice that I upvote each of your replies - but - I notice you do not upvote my replies?!?

upvoting is a Steemit way of saying "well done friend and thanks"
