Receiving is equally as satisfying as giving. We often think of giving as a bad thing and believe we have to meet others' needs to feel good about ourselves. But this approach creates an imbalance and leads to people-pleasing and obligations to our ego.
This imbalance in our lives is another reason we develop self-loathing and other limiting behaviors. Instead of being satisfied and fulfilled, we focus on the negative aspects of our lives.
