How to develop a good habit and also how to stop a bad habit

In life everybody need to develop a good attitude toward his life, but there are some situation that we found ourselves struggling to change from our bad attitude, here are some steps that I want to share on how to develop good habit.
STEP 1: List your bad habits
STEP 2: What was the original cause?
STEP 3: What are the supporting causes?
STEP 4: Determine a positive habit to replace the bad one.
STEP 5: Think about the good habit, its benefits and results
STEP 6: Take actions to develop this habit
STEP 7: Daily act upon this habit for reinforcement
STEP 8: Reward yourself by noting one of the benefits from your bad habits
