Why do college students seem less focused?

Many college students seem not to be serious with their education and this got me wondering.Is it because of lack of foresight or the unbound freedom?%2Fstorage%2Femulated%2F0%2FDownload%2F15-15-22-th.jpg
I believe it's because of lack of purpose. Some people are driven to persue studies.Many college live in the "now"than in the unforeseeable future.
Maturity will also help you know the purpose of you being in college.If you lack purpose you will lack focus.%2Fstorage%2Femulated%2F0%2FDownload%2FIMG_20180424_151712.jpg
If students don't really know why they should be serious there is little motivation for the effort
