Following on from my previous blogs about fund raising, I am pleased to blog today about our visit to the local homeless charity.
Since our last visit to see them at the end of February , Matthew and I have raised another £200 for the charity.
As in the past, we always make contact with the charity to see what they are in desperate need of. They always have suggestions for us and I then place an order through an online retailer. The following was ordered and delivered to our house.
To enable us to promote our fund raising, I then post photographs of our purchases on social media sites in the hope of getting more items given to us to sell.
So, earlier today, the car was loaded up with our donations and a cheque for £100 too.
We then set off, car fully laden and our hearts full of love.
They could not believe how much we had to give.
It filled two shopping trolleys!
Having just done a quick calculation, Matthew and I have raised just short of £4,000 in the last two years!
Here's to many more fund raising opportunities and visits to them.
