Can you share the reference of your words to me? Maybe in any sources you get that words. I never think about your because or Nabi/prophet forbid to lie to anyone.
Prophet Muhammad say in hadits :
"Who is lying is not my ummah"

ulama different opinion about taqiyyah. Taqiyyah it is not about war but on self-defense when threatened.

Now I ask you if you would be honest if honesty threatens your life? Our religion Islam are not forced you to follow it. Allah says in the Qur'an:

For you your religion and for us our religion.

Taqiyyah is more aptly defined: lying about the beliefs held for fear of being threatened with death if they know about the religion held.

This is clearly different from your interpretation that deliberately cornered us.
