Great post, I'm sure many others here on Steemit feel the same way. I know that I've made sure to use different types of software and services away from mainstream companies.

Also to add as someone that programs at an amateur level. I've made it a point to also make sure that anything I write is crossplatform (Not that I've finished any software yet).
