Finding myself by experimenting with my appearance

Hey all! I would like to share my journey of finding myself throughout high school and how I did this. 7CF1B85B-8DEE-4A91-B514-EEA89111EA77.jpg

Let me give you a little history, it all started freshmen year when I felt like I didn't fit in. I felt that getting highlights would fix everything, I had made up my mind that blonde hair was the curve to my happiness and fitting in. As a kid I've always been shy and felt as others were "too pretty" and "too cool" for me, although I wanted to be friends with them, I was too scared to approach them.

This is a my transformation over the years: 8793599A-DE31-4610-BB29-0CC0C98F26DC.jpg

Too left is my freshmen year with my natural color.
Top right is sophomore year where I was addicted to making my hair as light as possible, later that year my hair got very fragile and I ended up chopping all of it off that spring.
Junior year of high school, I died my hair black because I felt as blonde hair was associated with negative connotation.
Senior year, I felt trapped behind all of my mistakes so I went to an actual salon and had my hair done back to close to natural, this is before and after 2A989CFE-823B-4C9D-B8DD-29ED977B331B.jpg

I went back and got a few more highlights and what I would like to share with you how I made the white loop around even having gray and red hair at certain times. I find it interesting that although I went on a journey to find myself, I came back to my natural self where I didn't feel the need to be different, I became comfortable in my own skin, I am just me.

If you would like to hear more about my journey of growing up and all the emotions I have gone though please comment below and give this an up vote :)
