We know well that some habits and lifestyles can increase the risk of developing cancer. But very little research turned perspective and focuses on how deaths can be prevented by changing lifestyle. This includes standard measures such as increasing exercise , stopping smoking and consuming less alcohol.
Scientists have found after analyzing the statistics that only in Australia for 2013, 38% of deaths from cancer could be prevented by reducing risk factors. On top of these factors, no surprise, is smoking, which was responsible for 23% of cancer-related deaths. Poor diet, obesity and infectious diseases each gave 5%. The scientists appeal to more serious turn attention to preventive actions that can actually save many lives .
