Everyone who heard this news was very excited because the birth of a ‘liger’ baby is extremely rare. It’s worth mentioning that it was remarkable, something historical because there were so few ‘ligers’ in the world from a cross between a lion and a tigress.
This event was a success, said Erik Airapetian, Zoo Owner, in the South Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
The little ‘ligre’ baby is just 2 and a half months old and it is named Zar. Zar baby is a proud baby of its Caesar the lion’s father and Princess the tigress.
The zoo director remarked that the lion and the tigress were inseparable from today, had a good understanding of each other, and lived side by side so that he had no idea who the chosen one was when the tigress got hot.
The chance of the birth of ‘ligre’ is almost null. And that’s why this birth has brought much pleasure and joy for every animal lover in the world.
By now, there are about 20 ligers around the world, the majority of which are in Russia.’
This breed is known to have, like tigers, a beige hair that is characteristic of lions and a striped snout. the little Zar feeds on the milk of a goat found in the zoo. It is currently no larger than a cat, but researchers believe that as an adult, it will be taller than its parents, a lion and a tigress.
This rare species can exceed 400 kilograms, while the lion’s maximum weight is 250 kilograms and the tiger’s maximum weight is 300.
Fortunately, we’re going to have more Zar photos soon, he’s very pretty, don’t you think that?
