The spiritual path: The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out

The people who are assertive and progressive in their decisions are the people who have light in the spiritual path of life, instead, those who practice the error do not know where they are going and constantly fall into problems, that is, they stumble on their way, that is why we say that these people walk in the dark because they depend on what luck provides them. The book of Proverbs explains with intelligence: "Trouble pursues the sinner, but the righteous are rewarded with good things" Proverbs 13:21.
Just as in physics light is opposed to darkness, what is edifying and what is chaotic or destructive, are opposed in the soul of man: "I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness" Ecclesiastes 2:13."
Thomas Aquinas makes us an interesting comparison, just as the Sun transmits its rays to us, God transmits to us his spiritual gifts and especially his wisdom (the gifts are expansive), this spiritual perfection that is also a science is the light that allows us to go safely despite the difficulties that the world brings us, wisdom is the science of the "sons of the most High". Those who discover that treasure hidden in their hearts, which is the perfect wisdom of God, also find his face and beatitude, as the Psalmist explains: "Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the ligh of your presence, LORD" Psalm 89:15.
That is why the book of Proverbs gives us a beautiful teaching: "The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out" Proverbs 13:9.
We must not lose this spiritual lamp if we want to have a truly profitable life, the Bible explains, but the choice is ours, man is by nature free and is not obliged to follow any pre-established path: "God in the beginning created human beings and made them subject to their own free choice" Ben Sira 15:14.
