Lisk (LSK)

Lisk was one of the first things I posted about 2 years ago on Steemit, but there has been a lot happen in the space since this time.

In my past post I explained what Lisk was, and how it compared to Ethereum.

So today I want to do an update covering just Lisk.

What is Lisk?

According to the Lisk website:

Lisk makes it easy for developers to build and deploy blockchain applications in JavaScript.

So basically a JavaScript smart contract platform, which also has sidechain capability.

What is a sidechain?

A sidechain is a "personal blockchain that can be easily built and customized", which also "house all the data of your dapp" (decentralized application).

So having the sidechain capability allows users to scale basically unlimited, and not have to worry about congestion!

Conclusion

There seems to be a lot of hype around smart contract platforms, and there are a lot in the crypto market..

  • Ethereum
  • EOS
  • NEO
  • ADA
  • QTUM

And I am sure there many more!

It is just great to see a project like Lisk, which is not just a platform for decentralized apps, but is focused on the scaling so that it can be adopted on a global scale!

So if you want to know any more about Lisk check out their website https://lisk.io/ for more information.
