idk, litecoin has been out for so long. There are more newer and better coin pop up everyday

A coin does not need to be newer or better to have value. Like gold and paper money which has value despite their simplicity and age. They all have value because we as a whole collectively believe that it is valuable to other people.

Litecoin is newer than bitcoin which only better @ segwit and faster block speed. Hundreds other coin newer than litecoin have way more potential and application than litecoin

We'll just have have to agree to disagree then. I think you underestimate the importance of network effect my friend. Another thing to keep in mind is that Litecoin also has a less divided community than Bitcoin.
