Petrie the clinic cat just wants to remind you

Today Petrie wanted to help go over vaccine paperwork with some clients who plan on traveling for the summer with their dog. He made sure that their dog was all up to date, had his heartworm medication and tick preventitive. Dont forget that it is important to have your pets vaccinated if they go anywhere around other dogs. Other dogs that you don't know might not be vaccinated!
If you plan on taking your dog camping, out hunting, or just outside in general, get tick preventitive. It is tick seanson in my neck of the woods for the rest of the summer. Ticks can cause health risks to you, your family and your pets.

Heartworm is year round, especially in the southern states. Heartworm can cause death. It is exactly how it sounds, tiny long worms that wrap around and through the heart. Petrie does not want to scare anyone, he just wants to remind all pet owners that prevention and awareness is key to great long healthy lifes!
