SF voters: What looks like the most boring part of your ballot is actually the most interesting part!

There's a group of reform-minded practical moderates looking to do a takeover of the San Francisco chapter of the Democratic Party (DCCC). This is a high leverage move, as the party's endorsements for the board of supervisors tend to get a big boost at the polls, and the SF board of supervisors is largely responsible for what happens in SF.

The current board of supervisors is bears a lot of responsibility for the biggest issues in SF, most notably the very high housing costs that have resulted from the barriers to construction.

I believe that reducing the cost of housing will solve a wide range of other issues in SF, from homelessness to displacement to urban decay.

Local elections are small-scale, and voters tend to focus on big-ticket items like propositions and mayoral candidates. This means your vote for the DCCC members can have an outsized impact on the election, and the state of San Francisco as a city in the next few years.
