Robert Downey Jr. got the most memorable escape of his time in the MCU with Avengers: Endgame. Many fans weren't expecting Marvel to take down their most popular superhero and yet they did! While all the globe grieved Tony Stark, Marvel fans were aware that it might not be her last appearance for the title character. In fact, Kevin Feigen has admitted that MCU is a comic book world where anybody and everyone is able to come back after death.
The end that Tony delivered to Endgame offered a satisfactory conclusion to the story and Marvel isn't going to interfere with it in any way. But, as it's the Multiverse Saga is ongoing and MCU has already revealed Avengers: Secret Wars, the return of Iron Man was always expected from the fandom. If the insiders in the industry and gossipers are to be taken seriously, then the details of the return of RDJ have already been agreed upon!
