Speedating Ticino - Logo Design 2

Di getto ieri, ho pubblicato il mio logo per lo Speedating Ticino, una prima versione. Eccone un'altra, che segue, e e credo sarà ufficiale per l'evento.

Lo schema che ho utilizzato è stato subito geometrico. Il cuore centrale, è stato preso dal font "Awesome".
Nello step A ho inserito gli elementi geometrici del cuore, e il simbolo della bandiera Svizzera.

Da questo, ho iniziato a figurare potenziali forme che richiamassero ad un incontro, ad un uomo e una donna. La croce Svizzera mi ha subito richiamato alla forma di due profili di volto, ho continuato così ad aggiungere elementi geometrici.
Come già fatto anche nella versione "freccia", ho collegato i colori della bandiera Ticinese, rosso e azzurro, che vengono in forte aiuto per la composizione, la croce svizzera è stata rimossa, sostituendola con dei profili di viso complementari. In questo caso, non potendo sfruttare la perfetta simmetricità dei profili, ho preferito caratterizzare i lineamenti femminili: naso piccolo; e quelli maschili: naso grosso.
Il risultato, in questo particolare punto, spezza la geometria, in un curioso e imperfetto risultato. Quel genere di imperfetto che non so spiegare, ma sai che va bene così.
Questa la versione finale.

Ebbene, il risultato è tanto semplice, e nel complesso, realizzato di getto.
Ho lasciato riposare il logo per qualche giorno, per vedere se ancora mi convinceva. Lo faccio sempre quando possibile, per avere maggiore convinzione su quanto realizzato. Ho avuto un attimo di esitazione, e in sincerità di emozione, rivedendo in quel profilo me stesso e mia moglie quando eravamo ragazzi. Nell'esatto momento in cui ci siamo incontrati la prima volta. Mi ha riportato alla mente al nostro "speedating" :-)

Sembra passata un eternità, e tra un po è il nostro sesto anniversario.

Non lo dedico a lei, ne a me.
Ma a noi, e tutto quello che la nostra unione ha prodotto fino ad ora, nel bene e nel male, a coloro che mi hanno assegnato questo lavoro, alle nostre città.

Yesterday, I published my logo for Speedating Ticino, a first version. Here is another one, which follows, and I believe it will be official for the event.

From this, I started to represent potential forms that would call to a meeting, to a man and a woman. The Swiss cross immediately reminded me of the shape of two face profiles, so I continued to add geometric elements.
As already done in the "arrow" version, I connected the colors of the Ticinese flag, red and blue, which come in strong help for the composition, the Swiss cross has been removed, replacing it with complementary face profiles. In this case, not being able to exploit the perfect symmetry of the profiles, I preferred to characterize the female features: small nose; and the masculine ones: big nose.
The result, in this particular point, breaks the geometry, in a curious and imperfect result. That kind of imperfect I can not explain, but you know that's okay.
This is the final version.

Well, the result is so simple, and on the whole, made instincltively.
I let the logo rest for a few days, to see if it still convinced me. I always do this when possible, to have more conviction on what has been achieved. I had a moment of hesitation and sincerity of emotion, seeing in that profile myself and my wife when we were boys. In the exact moment we met the first time. It reminded me of our "speedating" :-)

An eternity seems to have passed, and in a little while it is our sixth anniversary.

I do not dedicate it to her, or to me.
But to us, and all that our union has produced up to now, for better or for worse, to those who have assigned this work, to our cities.
