Lomography Petzval 55 mm F1.7 MKII is the new lens that the manufacturer has made available for pre-order (shipments between July and August) dedicated to full-frame mirrorless cameras. This is "a first" because it is the first optic designed for this camera type.
On its website, the manufacturer stated that the 55 mm F1.7 MKII Lomography Petzval is designed for the most demanding photographers and filmmakers. The focal length is 55 mm and is intended to reproduce the same photography type as with more traditional cameras (equipped with Joseph Petzval lenses) but with the new technology on cameras.
Thanks to the 7 levels of control for the bokeh effect and the use of the dual opening system, the company always aims to give the user maximum flexibility. The 55 mm F1.7 lens from Lomography Petzval is available with various bindings such as Sony E, Canon RF and Nikon Z.
The structure of this optic is made of brass or aluminum in different finishes (black, satin brass or black anodized) with variable costs ranging from € 499 for the first, € 449 for the second and € 399 for the third. There are some plates with some shapes like heart, snowflake, etc. in the Lomography Petzval 55 mm F1.7 package to achieve specific effects (thanks to the lens structure) directly during shooting and not in post-production.
