I like a nice cup of tea

London is hot.

Everyone knows it. There's a bit of an edge too. London can boil over when it stays hot too long.

But I have the privilege of choosing the air-conditioned bliss of civilisation, with a pot of tea, a cold jug of water and good company for an hour or so.

I've lived worse lives.

I hope it rains before it burns.

Lol, Toronto is hot as hell this wknd too!

I enjoy a hot coffee myself and the music of Bad Company for an hour or so ;)

Side note, in many hot places around the world the natives drink hot tea in order to induce a sweaty state thus cooling them down

Ha! Here we're as terrible at dealing with extreme heat as we are dealing with extreme cold. This Global Weather Weirdness throws the temperate British mindset. Summer is supposed to be only a couple of days each year!

My train home was hotter than outside due to lack of a/c. At least I'm not on it long. Is it odd that I never drink tea? Just never got into it.

Maybe you'll get into it in old age.

I think it's getting too late for that :)

Your post brought back those childhood recollections of my Grandmother saying have a cup of tea it will cool you down.

Mine also said squash will just make you thirstier. Grandmothers eh?!
