They were still the prettiest, meanest black girls in elementary if not my life. But to reduce the title, women became woman.
One young lady started the whole caboodle. She was very pretty and outgoing. She remains nameless. She was always getting my attention, even if I wasn't paying attention.
She was quick-witted and sharp and kind. She even flashed me once, running counter-clockwise on a Brooklyn black-top during gym. I looked away, prude that I was. I wouldn't have missed a thing. This was before puberty.
But I do remember an off-white faux rabbit muffin-top blouse, which seemed to move easily above the mid-riff when coaxed. Maybe it was real fur.
