Welcome to the Lost Content Digest! On LCD, we feature articles that have passed their first payout, are well-written and original, and are written by relatively new writers, but received little attention. If an article has passed a payout without any attention, it is extremely rare for it to ever get noticed again. That's where we come in!
Each issue of LCD features a handful of articles (this one has 5), and all of the SBD proceeds of the issue are distributed evenly to the authors of the featured articles. So if I receive a payout for this issue of $100 in SBD, I will send each of the following authors $20.
In no particular order, today's articles are:
@arrowj elucidates some techniques for reloading ammo
@quintanilla writes about a very cool place in Monterrey, Mexico
@polyglotte gives us her story of starting a new tech company
@dianelyndon shares her beautiful trip to Italy
@ruscion asks... our favorite historical tyrant?
I encourage you to go read these articles and upvote them if you think they're particularly good! And as always, follow me if you want more lost content suggestions like these!
Also along these lines is the now-famous Daily Pick of Hidden Gems series by @dragonslayer109.
Finally, check out this project which is similar to mine; @pierce-the-veil is collecting submissions for their "graveyard edition."
Hello @biophil, thanks for the mention ! Will be adding more valuable content on entrepreneurship and a brand new Discovering Mexico post on sunday.

You bet! I traveled to Monterrey in 2007, and loved it.

Really!? That's epic. Why did you visit? and what did you visit while in Monterrey? Whenever you want to travel back here, you know you have a friend who can pick you up at the airport and show you around the city.

It was spring break of my senior year of college. I was in Atlanta, GA at the time, and my friends and I were looking for a good road trip destination. I don't remember how we settled on Monterrey, but that's where we went. We stayed in a little hostel called (if I remember right) La Casa del Barrio, and just wandered around the city for a few days.
I remember we really wanted to hike to the top of El Cerro de la Silla (is that the right name?), and I think we did it. The problem is that we were in a cloud the whole time so we're not actually sure we were even on the right mountain. :)
I will for sure let you know if I ever end up there again! I bet I'd have even more fun with someone to show me around.

This is a cool idea, and something like it is needed on steemit. Regardless of the outcome, I a appreciate it. I especially like the post you chose. I enjoyed writing that post more than any I have done thus far. I did not actually write it just for firearms enthusiasts. I thought it might be interesting to people that never even took the time to wonder, "how do they do that?"

Very cool @polyglotte
Designing the keyboard is an interesting problem. On one hand, the majority of people using it are likely from Europe as Americans usually only speak 1-2 languages, with the second being Spanish, which is similar enough to run a normal keyboard. On the other hand, English is almost always the common language between people of different countries. I didn't see a picture of your final product, I did go to the apple store but the images there were incomplete.
Do you find yourself using the keyboard all the time? As an American I do want to work towards becoming fluent in Spanish and eventually multilingual, but it's hard to find motivation when seemingly everyone speaks better English than I'll ever speak of any of their languages, which leads back to the standard American qwerty keyboard.
Regardless, awesome story, glad you found your niche

@dianelyndon L'aquila and Cerchio look beautiful. My great regret is not spending more time exploring the Italian countryside while visiting. I had a 3 week trip to Europe, one week in San Remo, Italy, one week in Rome, then one week in Monte Carlo. San Remo was by far my favorite destination of the 3 and your pictures make me want to go back and explore more.
You still have family out there? Or was it your host's family you referred to?

It was my hosts family and I long to return. I have a standing invitation to her beautiful villa. Even more so now I long to return since the most recent earthquake. My heart cries for the villages affected.

I have a suggestion for your next list, I figured you could help get it out. https://steemit.com/life/@jthej70/expounding-on-is-it-evil-to-join-the-military-by-jakemccauley

Thanks for the suggestion! I might consider it, but @jthej70 has waaaay more Steem Power than I normally allow. Not that he doesn't deserve more, but my service is really meant to be a way for new people to break in to rewards.

Sure, I understand that. Just to help a little bit though, if you look at his posts he doesn't get much from them. The steem power came from a few transfers from poloniex - I don't know what that was all about.

Glad to see you are doing this! I've seen a few others but I think a lot of people are not willing to give the original posters of the content the proceeds. Splitting your earnings from this post among them is a perfect way to support the growing user base by providing positive attention and encouragement to those new users. Thanks.

This is excellent! Very effective.
I'm confused about voting and curation periods on posts? Anyone who can explain quick or shoot me a link?
