It will not have escaped you that The Last of Us Free does not present itself as a horrifying game, this positioning is largely related to the way we are presented with its universe. The Cordyceps is indeed a kind of mushroom that actually has the bad habit of developing in the body of insects: it begins to change the behavior of its host before killing, taking the trouble to cover strange growths that him will extend its spores.
They begin to be drunk with rage and to violently attack anything that moves. At this level, they are called runners, they are relatively fragile but they are often cut in groups and as their name suggests, they have the boring habit of running after you ... Gradually, the infected become stalkers then clickers (claqueurs in VF), they are more and more disfigured by the mushroom, to the point that their head ends up looking like a huge cauliflower. In this state, they are much tougher, it is better to be sure of his shot to the head and his head to get rid of it. They leave you no respite: it is enough that they catch you to sign your death sentence. It is in this dark and violent world that you play Joel, not a very clear trafficker, or first young person to whom we entrust a mission for the least surprising. He must remove a package from the Boston Security Zone and bring it to a group belonging to Fireflies.
So far nothing extraordinary, except that the package in question is no other than a fourteen-year-old girl named Ellie. Purists will always be able to opt for English voices that are perfect. Do not throw, the atmosphere of The Last of Us will literally catch you and may even continue long after you drop the pad. All the salt of the title lies in its particular rhythm: you never really know when contemplation will give way to much more stressful phases of play.
