I felt your touch when no one was looking and my brain became a clean slate, I forgot all the hurt of the past. Like a kiss from a rose you blessed my essence and wrapped my soul in your effervescence. You wrapped me in your arms and chilled me to the bones

I've been in love before. I've felt it times over. She was minx; beautiful like a humid rainy season morning. Her hair like the green on the trees and flowers blooming on her face. Mother nature blessed her with the perfect blend, the features that make me melt. She owned my soul.

I remember how I loved her, the visions of tomorrow I cooked up. I lived in my head and built castles in the sky, we had a house and picket fence, we had weird neighbours, a dog and three kids. It was bliss and I was living it in the now that was the future in my head. I was shooting broken arrows in the dark.

Like a thief in the night, like the brisk draft that passes by, like a bullet from hell and tears from heaven, I was cut in pieces. I found a reason to forgive.
