Spiritual truth: If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha!. 1 Corinthians 16:22

The Bible tells us about the spiritual man, the new man, born from the water and the spirit. And this new man is the man who leaves behind the slavery of the flesh to accept the love of God:
“Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: ´Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?´
Jesus replied: ´Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind´. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ´Love your neighbor as yourself´. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22: 34-40.
Although love can never be an imperative, that is, an order, a mandate, it can be an exigency, that is, what we have to try to reach with our minds and hearts. The apostle Paul at the end of his first letter to the Corinthians says goodbye with a greeting to the faithful of the Church reminding them of this commitment of love to Jesus with a spiritual truth: "If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha!", 1 Corinthians 16:22.

And the apostle puts an emphasis on teaching, Maranatha, that is, the "Lord will soon come", and this is the second coming of the "son of man" (parousia), the personification of God's perfections. Faced with the difficulties that the world puts on us, the love of Jesus gives us an eschatological hope, the promises of the Kingdom of God are not vain: "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous, be strong.", 1 Corinthians 16:13.
God's love is a grace, a charism: "God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit", Romans 5:5.
And when we receive this love, faith is extinguished because it gives rise to the knowledge of God, the eternal life or contemplative activity: "This is eternal life that they know you the only true God", John 17:3.
Those who are not devotees of the Lord cannot inherit the fullness of spiritual goods (salvation), that is why they are not blessed (accursed), Paul finally explains in his greeting.
