Great friend just passed away

in love •  4 years ago  (edited)

I live in NYC & I hung out with the famous chess players at union square. He was a older man that went by T.C which means Teach chess. He was a intelligent black man, people often see us in the streets and think we are homeless or not employable, etc. But working in the streets of NYC made me a sensible & empathic & sharp! I sat with TC everyday when I was homeless working as a bike messenger, we talked about life, politics & smoked weed & played chess. Covid hit & there he was still out there doing what he loved, TEACH CHESS. Children & old sat with TC. You can YouTube his name TC chess player & you will find awesome documentaries on this man! I am so happy I knew him & got to learn life through chess with him & the other chess players at union square. As tears build up in my eyes I know he is up there teaching chess & inspiring others like he did to all of us who sat with him at union square. Love you TC & Play in Peace!
