😁 Need some tips or encouragement on proposing to your significant other? As someone who feels like she had a KICK ASS proposal, here are my top 5 tips for proposing!
1). Please, even if you are low key homebodies, do not propose over sloppy joes at home. Make it special!
2). I don’t mean you can’t propose at home, just put some thought and effort into it. This is something she will remember, oh and tell to people, FOREVER. You don’t want to sound like a jack hole because you didn’t do anything extra.
3). Do something she loves. My husband knows I love to travel, so for our engagement he planned a secret trip to Colorado.
4). Be romantic! If you are musical, play her a song, if you like to eat together, make her a special dinner or take her to her favorite restaurant.
5). Put in the effort! Yes, it has already cost you $$ to shell out for a ring, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go a little bit above and beyond for this special moment. Hire a photographer or rent a classic car and propose somewhere beautiful with a view at sunset (that is a million dollar idea!). Or, don’t spend anymore money at all and just make sure her friends and family are waiting somewhere after to celebrate.
Marriage is beautiful and this is the first step to spending the rest of your lives together. Make it memorable!
