A Traditional Wedding Ceremony

in love •  6 years ago  (edited)

It was a rainy yet exciting day for all of us especially for my sister because it is her wedding day yesterday. The weather was not good because there is a typhoon it was raining very hard. Me and my wife @mavic2015 got up around 2:30am to prepare because we still have to travel for two hours going to Ilocos sur at my hometown. We arrived in ilocos sur at around 6am and as we got off the bus my cousin is already waiting to fetch us. We were a bit late because our service ran out of gas and had to look for a nearby house where he can borrow a small amount of gas so that we can catch up. Minutes after thank God we still arrived on time and the wedding was just about to start. We still witnessed the ceremony and the program was short but meaningful.

This is our picture with relatives who came from different Barangays just to attend the wedding inspite of the bad weather.

The bride and groom in the traditional tadek dance.

TADEK
The tribal traditional dance of different tribes in the northern Philippines that includes Ilocandia and Cordillera. These tribes include Bago, Kankanaey, Tingguian, Itneg among others. Our tribe is belongs to the Itneg group.

Though it was raining the wedding ceremony ended well and the bride and groom is now enjoying their married life. Two different cultures that brought them together as one.

Thank you for stopping by:-)
Peace and blessings, God bless us all :-)

Hello, I would like to share my experience. Recently I was invited to a Jewish wedding. I came there and was very surprised by the traditions of these people. Their wedding ceremony is different from a regular wedding. I wrote about it to everyone in the article https://simchaspot.com/blog/2022/01/05/the-jewish-wedding-in-canada/ . I can highlight a couple of main points. Firstly, a man dresses in all white, this is a sign of purity, fidelity, and honesty. And at the end of the wedding ceremony, the man breaks the glass and puts his foot on it. All in all, it was a great wedding experience.

Mayat ah very traditional ung kasal pati ung attire. :-)

The website wezoree is an excellent tool for finding wedding vendors. The website is user-friendly and makes comparing vendors across many different categories a breeze. The variety is excellent, and the feedback and star ratings from prior buyers provide useful direction. When it comes to finding wedding services, I definitely recommend Wezoree.
