Why Do Relationships End? Thoughts of a Person who Never Tried (lol)

ROMANTIC relationships can be healthy and helpful to you personally. It keeps you motivated and makes you look forward for another day. Yes, life's more special when you are in love. It makes you want to become a better person for your special someone. It makes you aspire for bigger things. You look forward for a future with that person. But how can something so beautiful turn into something ugly without you noticing it? Yes, relationships can get toxic and unhealthy. It can end without you even realising it.

Why do relationships end?

There are a lot of factors than can cause break ups. Awful things can happen that will test your relationship and you'd surely fall apart if you don't have a strong foundation to begin with. It is important that you avoid getting into a relationship just because of a mere attraction. You have to be compatible with your special someone on a lot of aspects or else your relationship can easily shatter after a few trials.

Commitment is an integral part of a relationship. Without it, you might as well not continue with whatever it is that you have. Relationships end because of lack of commitment. Some people can't remain loyal to their partners and easily succumbs into temptations. I understand that human beings are not perfect and we're bound to get tempted into things that looks and feels good without thinking of the repercussions. But if you are truly committed to your relationship, you'd be more determined to protect it by staying away from temptations as much as possible.

Other relationships end because the other half refuses to forgive. Of course, it's a case to case basis because there are mistakes that doesn't deserve a second chance. But if you think you can still work your relationship out after a mistake—huge or not—has been committed, then try to forgive and give it another shot. But if you think that your relationship is already rotting on the inside and is already irreparable, it would be best to end it once and for all.

Break ups are usually awful and painful. Saying goodbye to someone you have loved and cherished is not an easy task. It would require a long period of time to recover, move on and accept that things didn't turned out the way you wanted them to be. And that is okay. Think of it as an opportunity to learn new things about yourself and about life. After a break up, you should come out with a renewed strength and new wisdoms. Always remember that "forever" exists contrary to the popular beliefs of people who are so bitter about love. But "forever" comes with a price because you have to work for it.

Now, it's time to hear from you guys.

What was the worst break up you've ever heard?

What was the reason behind?

What were the things you've learned after that break up?

I am pretty excited to read your comments. Let's start a meaty discussion about how relationships end.

I think relationships end, when one person stops making an effort.... In time, the other will give up as well, and that is the beginning of the end. Making relationships thrive is a continuous thing... It never stops.

Absolutely right! :)

hahahahayyzz in my position i am waiting for something that have no assurance and its makes me cry

the worst break-up that I ever heard is that was the time when I was reading UCnian freedom board. There was a time that the girl and boy was so in love to each other but the parents of the girl is against their relationship. The girl's father did everything to break their relationship to the boy. The girl's father ask the boy to stay away to his daughter, the father said "i will give you everything you want, just stay away to my daughter !". The boy stays away to his daughter without receiving anything but the precious love of each other. The father take his daughter to America and they live there now.
