Promise is a legally declaration that gives the person to whom it is made , the right to expect or to claim .
A promise is just like an oath and are meant to be fulfilled or else, if not fulfilled brings curses upon ones.
Why is it that people promise even when they know that they can't fulfill it especially in churches & relationships ?
Understand that promises can't be broken until they are fulfilled, so if you know that you can't fulfill your promises then don't bother promising at all.
In nature it is so easy to a make a promise but hard to keep ?
Each promises kept,counts and increases the faith people have in you. promises are never meant to be broken.
You can stop your promise by changing the plan but don't break your word. Promises means everything but once it is broken it means nothing.
Let your word be your word don't make promise you don't intend to keep ,it generates curses.
