Particles of dust
flickering in the sunlight
carefully caressing
each soul that they touch
imparting their love
on those that are willing
before returning to the earth
to blossom once more
the patterns they form
conform to no space
leaving their mark
without so much as a trace
inspiring the notion
that love conquers all
in a world filled with hate
as they graciously fall
dancing in the air
with each passing breeze
lightening your mood
with an unspoken ease
consoling the lonely
with precision and speed
providing the solace
they desperately need
hanging right there
as if just for you
the beauty of nature
right on cue
secrets so simple
we choose not to see
reveal only truth
what was meant to be
never begging attention
no shameless fanfare
but somehow expressing
love is in the air...
